Google to buy Trader Media?

The Courier-Mail has reported that both Google and Yahoo have both approached Trader Classified Media on a buyout in a move to the old school print medias.

Google is always on the lookout for new and interesting mediums to make searchable, and this foray into the printed world will be something to watch what will come out of this.

With their recent campaign of buying up ad space in computer related magazines, and reselling them as Ads by Google, Google sure does have something extremely interesting up its sleeve. It seems they are trying to create online communities in more localized markets throughout the world.

Trader was established in 1987 in Canada, and is now headquartered in Amsterdam, and has 575 print titles, including Auto Trader and the Buy and Sell.
