Gmail Conversation Preview Bubbles

How can you make Gmail even more fun and easy to use? Add some bubbles!

Gmail is the favorite email application for all of us now. Not only because of the 2 GB storage space, and way cool features, we now have a cool script that showcase some preview bubbles similar to those found on Google Maps.

With the Gmail conversation preview greasemonkey, (Greasemonkey is a Firefox extension which lets you to add bits of DHTML (”user scripts”) to any web page to change its behavior. In much the same way that user CSS lets you take control of a web page’s style, user scripts let you easily control any aspect of a web page’s design or interaction.) you can right-click on any conversation to see its recent messages in a preview bubble.

There has been a lot of talk about the upcoming Yahoo mail and Hotmail releases having a preview reading pane which will let you see the message contents without having to click to read the entire message. The current Gmail application already has this, but it is extremely limited and lightweight. The Persistant.info tool is a great addition to your gmail application!
