Google made a $1Billion offer for a 5% stake in AOL. Beating out any chance that rival Microsoft has in getting attention from Time Warner.
The deal is said to let AOL sell some adspace on Google, and Google would promote AOLs spaces on the Sponsored Listings sections on Google searches.
