Google founders agree for another $1 per year salary

Google execs Larry Page, and Sergey Brin agree to take another $1 for all their hard work this year. In a securities filing, Google has also stated that they have approved a $1 year salary for Chairman and CEO Eric Schmidt.

All 3 were payed $1 year for 2005 as well as the last half of 2004. However, they are all making a lot more than $1/ year!

$1 a year salary doesnt seem like too much. But when you have a tanker truck filled with stock options, that $1 equals close to $160 million in the past month.

Since the company went public, Brin has sold about 6.5 million shares at a market value of $1.68 billion.

Page has sold about 5.8 million shares at a market value of $1.4 billion.

Eric Schmidt, who was brought in to run the company before it went public, has sold more than 2.1 million shares, worth more than $502 million.
