YouTube hits European users with local versions

YouTube is a giant in the video world. How many times do you hit it alone throughout the day? Now imaging visiting the site because its the ultimate video location online, but its not available for your launguage! Thats a bummer. And Google knew that. But times have changed.

YouTube has announced many new versions of its video service. Google has launched localized versions for YouTube in Brazil, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, UK and the US.

As it sits now, all versions will pull from Google’s central YouTube servers in the US, but give it some time and country specific videos will be added.

YouTube co-founder told the press that 2007 is the year for YouTube access. Just last week Google announced YouTube for mobile devices, something the company has had in their sights since the begining.
