Google has integrated Custom buttons, and a custom buttons API for the Google Toolbar.
Google started noticing engineers on the team had cool hacks on their Toolbars for doing customized searches on their internal bugs database, corporate employee directory and more.
So now they are passing along the fun to us!

Google execs Larry Page, and Sergey Brin agree to take another $1 for all their hard work this year. In a securities filing, Google has also stated that they have approved a $1 year salary for Chairman and CEO Eric Schmidt.
All 3 were payed $1 year for 2005 as well as the last half of 2004. However, they are all making a lot more than $1/ year!

Google Earth and Google Local has added more zoom!
Just when you thought it was close enough, Google has added 2 more levels of zoom to Earth and Local. Producing some nice clean crisp images of so many destinations.
Take a Google Local Trip:
Before you take a trip to Las Vegas, check out the map of the pool of the Hilton Flamingo Hotel and Casino.
Check out the somewhat computer generated Google HQ in Mountain View California
Last but not least, take a relaxing stroll through Central Park after your adventures.

Google has decided not to comply with the Bush governments request to hand over search request information. This is a request that underscores the potential for online databases to become tools for government surveillance.
